I've been working on another update. A couple reasonably big changes are in store.. one is the ability to resize objects (and probably groups of objects). The second is a setting that I'm currently calling "Rube Goldberg mode." (But that name will probably change.)
Rube Goldberg mode will simplify the creation and testing of complex machines, by allowing you to automatically rewind the simulation to its previous paused configuration.
Usage goes something like this:
- While the simulation is paused, make some edits to your machine
- Press play to see how it behaves
- Press pause again to rewind the simulation back to the state it was in before your pressed play
- Repeat
This will be optional, of course, and can be turned on or off on the settings screen.
I expect to wrap up these changes over the course of the next week or two. Apple's review process will add at least a week to that, but hopefully the update will be available sometime before the new year.
